hurry up and wait :(

I just found out that once we complete our paperwork(we will turn it in monday as soon as we are done looking through boxes to see if other items are damaged) The carrier company(the movers) have up to 9 months to come to a settlement and if we dont accept we have to go to court.Trying to get a claim from the air force i believe will take up to 2 years.Its just so depressing and makes me angry.They will also try and fix it before giving us money and they will try and give us a depreciated value for our stuff.It infuriates me that this has happened and that it will take this long to get our things.Once we turn in our paperwork hopefully within a week or 2 and inspector will come and take a look.I guess that air force for you though..hurry up and wait :(
