Getting help for your child is not easy

Who knew getting your child the help they need would be so difficult? Its so frustrating i feel like im just going in circles.call this person, call that person, bring paperwork in,call back to make sure they actually follow through only to find out they do it half way and only put one referral in rather then the 2 you need. Then when you go in person you dont get any answers you get this (this is when i went to drop of  more paperwork)

Okay so i went to the Peds clinic on base to drop of some paperwork and try and get some answers.Let me explain how i see it.Okay the front desk airmen are the worker/drone bees..the officers or drs who you want to see are the queen bees who the workers/drone bees protect.Once you start talking to the front desk people they look at you like your talking in an alien language..they get that dazed look in their eyes and then call another airmen to come help. Then that airmen leaves to go find more help.So in the end you leave feeling like you deal with complete idiots and wonder why you have health insurance since its so hard to get your child seen and the referrals they need in place.Im still waiting on a call back from the doctor. They keep changing the story..about the developmental pediatrician..that he is on base one minute and off the next.Oh and they told me now that i have to get an appointment to get a referral for the developmental peds...so now ive been told like 3 different things. No wonder its confusing.

I went in last week and brought in all the paperwork for kyle to get a speech referral(like they said) and a referral to be seen by a developmental pediatrician. The speech has been put in through the referral office on base but is not in the system through  Triwest(our insurance).Right now im currently waiting on a call back from the pediatricians office about what should have been done last week. They dont care that i have a child waiting to get help :(
