If this is hell
Then i really dont want to sin :P Kyles pacifier broke last night right before bed.Will and I agreed we wouldnt be buying him anymore..he is 2 1/2 and he needs to be done with the paci.Unfortunatly he does not think so.Poor little guy was up until 2am last night.Taking the bottle away was so much easier.I didnt realise just how attached he was to his pacifier.Its like his lovey so there is guilt from not getting him a new one on my part.im trying to get him interested in a stuffed animal but not having much luck.Will goes to work working swing shift which is 3-11 or later so im on my own with the kids tonight which is a bit daunting knowing how kyle acted last night.

Don't feel guilty for not getting a new one, it will take a couple days for him to get used to not having it but then he will be just fine.

Christopher went through the same thing when I weaned him. It was HARD, but that's what forms us as mom in the long run. Keep reminding yourself "this too shall pass". C has never been interested in anything else as a lovey.
Just hang in there and you'll both be fine.

How'd last night go?
We just did that about a week ago. It sucked! And we lost his lovey about 2 months ago. It helped us to create a bit more of a bedtime routine. The first several days were rough, but just keep at it. Hope he adjusts quickly for you!
